Developed partly in water, the project shifts the relationship between architecture and
landscape: geological, hydrological and energetic conditions become the starting point for
spatial form and transformation. Earth Crown thus directly connects geography with the
question of how architecture can read natural energy systems and operationally translate
them into a spatial strategy.
Earth Crown investigates architecture from the conditions of the territory itself. Earth,
water and geothermal energy are understood not as the background to an architectural object,
but as active components of the spatial system.
