public space   saraj tower I sarajevo I bih I 2023 Saraj Tower investigates the vertical city within the specific geographical, climatic, historical and social context of Sarajevo. The design combines a new urban landmark for Nedžarići with publicly accessible ground-floor zones and green spaces. Deep geothermal energy and thermally activated building systems are conceived as an integrated heating and cooling system; photovoltaics, façade greening, water strategies and life-cycle considerations extend the energy concept. The high-rise typology is thereby investigated as an interface between density, public space, landscape, energy and future urban transformation.
